Stéphanie Richard

Stéphanie Richard is a bilingual registered physiotherapist who has developed her clinical knowledge by continuing her post-graduate training in the fields of Acupuncture, Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release, as well as Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). 

Stéphanie Richard is a bilingual registered physiotherapist who joined the Motion Matters team in June 2004. Since then, she has further developed her clinical knowledge by continuing her post-graduate training in the fields of Acupuncture, Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release, as well as Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). She also completed her certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) with the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (ISTOP).

Stéphanie is passionate about treating various orthopaedic injuries, particularly rehabilitating acute sports injuries and post-surgical procedures. She uses a variety of techniques to manage pain and restore function in order to facilitate a speedy recovery.

Stéphanie has a passion for rock climbing and enjoys helping climbers return to the sport after being injured. She recently attended the 1 st Canadian Climbing Medicine Symposium to gain valuable knowledge on preventing, evaluating and treating climbing injuries based on the latest research.

In her spare time, Stéphanie enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and playing soccer. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves travelling around the world on hiking and climbing trips with her family. She is an enthusiastic professional with a strong ability to motivate others to achieve their physical goals and optimize their fitness and wellbeing.
