In 2012, Stéphanie joined the Motion Matters team to further fuel her keen interest in Human Kinetics, specifically exercise rehabilitation, correction of muscle imbalances and postural dysfunction. Upon receiving her Specialized Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa with high honors, she furthered her education to complete her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa.

As a classically trained dancer, Stéphanie developed a strong passion for movement and control of the human body at an early age. She quickly understood the importance of injury management and prevention.

Stéphanie’s confidence, attention to detail and empathic nature always put her patients at ease. As a fully bilingual therapist, she can treat her patients in both French and English.

In early 2016, Stéphanie became a certified yoga instructor to widen her knowledge and perfect her understanding of movement, breathing and motor patterning. This new notion will allow her to blend her expertise in physiotherapy with therapeutic yoga to help her patients restore and maintain optimal movement and function.

In addition, Stéphanie utilizes functional dry needling as part of her manual therapy skill set to treat neuro-musculoskeletal pain/injuries.

Stéphanie strives to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She enjoys training with the Tony Greco Lean and Fit program and she’s an avid runner. She also likes to swim and play beach volleyball. Stephanie is a full member of the Royal Academy of Dance and has performed in cities across North America earning several awards including a national title with Dance Canada in 2010.
