Location: Motion Matters Exercise and Rehab Centre, 164 Laurier Ave. W.

Traditional Chinese medicine involves acupuncture, herbal remedies and certain physical and mental activities promoting healing and body-mind balance.

One of these activities is called QiGong (meaning “energy work”). Many types of QiGong exist. You may practice external or active QiGong or internal and meditative QiGong. Both will be explored during our practices. Tai Chi and Kung Fu are two different types of QiGong associated with martial arts.

The practice of QiGong promotes well being, clarity of mind and restore energy. During these sessions you will learn several useful combinations of movement stimulating blood flow, digestive system, flexibility as well as decreasing several dysfunction or pain. These exercises are easy to practice whatever your age or fitness level.
