Physiotherapist

Piaf Des Rosiers

Piaf graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BSc in Human Kinetics in 2014 and from Dalhousie University with an MSc in physiotherapy in 2016.

Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Ottawa and also works as a Physiotherapist at CHEO, bringing valuable experience to our team. Piaf recently became a certified reformer pilates instructor through the Frame & Flow Rehab Method and completed an observership in our Physio/Pilates Program with Donna and Nina. This experience has given her valuable insights into integrating Pilates and Exercise Rehabilitation into physiotherapy treatment plans and HEP Programs.

While Piaf’s primary experience has been with children and teens, she is enthusiastic about caring for individuals of all ages and applying her knowledge, particularly for chronic pain and conditions. Piaf also holds a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist designation and has attended numerous chronic pain courses and conferences. She is experienced in David Butler’s neurodynamic techniques, has completed a course with Shirley Sahrmann on movement system impairment syndromes, and has taken a pediatric aquatic therapy course as well as yoga instructor courses.

Notably, Piaf has served as the president of the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association and is deeply committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based, individualized care. Piaf will be working with us part-time on Wednesday evenings, seeing physiotherapy patients who can benefit from Exercise Rehabilitation through our Physio/Pilates program.
