- Plantar Fasciitis – The main arch ligament in the foot can become inflamed. If not treated, it will result in a bone spur forming to protect the fascia.
- Achilles Tendonitis – This involves the tendon on the back of the heel.
- Calcaneal bursitis – Inflammation of the bursa sac.
Ankle pain can manifest in several ways like pain, swelling, stiffness, which can cause mobility issues. The cause can be:
- Nerve compression
- Poor alignment
The Achilles tendon can be overused and will become inflamed. It also is a byproduct of jumpers and joggers because of the repetitive motion.
