Emily Leonardis

With a foundation in movement that began in competitive dance, Emily brings a deep understanding of anatomy, alignment, and functional movement to her Pilates practice.

Emily is a graduate of the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Algonquin College and a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CPT). She is also a Comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor through Authentic Pilates Canada, having completed over 600 hours of training and apprenticeship in the complete classical Pilates system. Working alongside the physiotherapy team at Motion Matters, Emily combines Pilates, exercise, and movement-based rehabilitation to help clients improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall function.

As a certified Physical Literacy Leader with Sport for Life, Emily is passionate about promoting lifelong movement and helping people age with strength, mobility, and independence. She is dedicated to creating empowering, accessible movement experiences that help her clients feel strong, confident, and capable at every stage of life.
