Mubaraq Afolabi

True recovery goes beyond managing pain; it’s about restoring confidence in how your body moves. My goal is to help you build strength, resilience, and lasting movement patterns so you can perform at your best—whether in sport, at work, in the gym, or in everyday life.
Mubaraq is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience helping individuals recover from injury, reduce pain, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy. He has experience treating a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, orthopedic and post-surgical conditions, neurological disorders, concussion-related symptoms, and everyday aches and pains.
His treatment approach combines hands-on therapy, exercise prescription, movement retraining, and patient education. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Mubaraq works to identify the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction to help patients achieve long-term results. By utilizing Motion Matters’ clinic and gym environment, he develops individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation programs designed to restore function, prevent reinjury, and help patients move with confidence.
Mubaraq earned his Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from Obafemi Awolowo University, graduating with top honours and receiving both the Faculty Prize for Best Overall Student and the Dr. B.O. Sangonuga Prize. In recognition of his commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, he received an Award of Service Excellence in 2023.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Mubaraq has completed advanced training in FIFA Football Medicine, Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Complete Concussion Management and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Gua Sha Therapy, Rehabilitation Following Complex Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Manual Therapy, and PNF Movement Techniques.
